Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. hosted an internal fundraiser on Friday, August 18, 2017, to support Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, an organization dedicated to sending veterans to our nation’s capital to visit the war memorials that have been built in their honor.Over $500 was collected for Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, which is enough to send at least one veteran on a trip from Cedar Rapids to Washington, D.C.Veterans on the honor flight take a round-trip flight in one day to fly from Cedar Rapids to Washington, D.C. to visit the WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, USMC Memorial, USAF Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery. The next flight is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19. One member of the Shuttleworth team, Barb Henry, has been volunteering with Eastern Iowa Honor Flight since March of 2016. “Honor Flight is a meaningful way to give back to Veterans who have sacrificed so much for all of us. It gives us the opportunity to show gratitude, learn some history from those who didn’t/don’t talk about their service and to welcome home those who didn’t get welcomed home. I’m proud to be among those in the Shuttleworth & Ingersoll organization who supported this worthy cause,” said Barb.
