Shuttleworth & Ingersoll welcomes Attorneys Emily R. Lavery and Kate E. Thorne

The law firm of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll P.L.C. is pleased to announce that Emily Lavery and Kate Thorne have joined our team of attorneys. We are pleased to add Kate and Emily to our growing team of Attorneys. As recent graduates from the University of Iowa Law School, Kate joins our commercial litigation group and Emily our family law group. Emily and Kate each clerked at Shuttleworth during the summer of 2021. “Emily and Kate are excellent additions to our family law and commercial litigation groups. Each performed very well while clerking with us, and we are pleased each selected our firm to continue their careers. Emily Lavery is an Associate Attorney at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. Her practice focuses on family law and civil litigation. She is a 2019 graduate of Kansas State University, where she studied Human Resource Management and Leadership, and is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. “I am excited to start my legal career at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, where I can learn from incredible attorneys and staff. I am particularly honored to be joining a team that values employing many talented women attorneys and investing in the growth of our community,” said Attorney Emily Lavery. While attending law school, Emily served as the Co-President of the Iowa Student Bar Association and the 2022 Graduation Chair. Emily was a Summer Associate at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll P.L.C. in 2021.
Kate Thorne is an Associate Attorney at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation. In 2022, Kate earned her J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. “I am thrilled to be starting my legal career with Shuttleworth & Ingersoll.
