Commitment is a word the attorneys at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll take seriously. The Shuttleworth mantra begins with a commitment to their clients. Shuttleworth attorneys care deeply about the success of their clients, working side-by-side as trusted advisors to help them accomplish their goals. This includes a commitment to provide value to their clients, as each attorney is dedicated to continuously build their specialized expertise, which becomes even more valuable when coupled with the firm’s team-based approach and collegial responsibility to ensure the right answer is always available. To ensure client success, the firm’s leadership has developed an intentional approach to the structure of the firm, including the specialization of practice areas and collaboration among attorneys. Shuttleworth has specialized legal services in the areas of banking and finance law, business law, family law, health law, litigation, tax law, and others. The firm has also created a group of attorneys to offer flexible services to work with startups and innovators.Attracting top talent is a constant priority for the firm to find incoming lawyers who believe in the firm’s mission of taking a sincere interest in the success of their clients. The firm is poised for continued growth, as it has recently announced plans to open a second location to better serve its growing client base in Iowa City and the surrounding area. The new office, which is scheduled to open by August 1, is located in Coralville at 327 2nd Street. The Coralville office will operate as a full-service location, offering all the same legal services that are available at the firm’s current office in Cedar Rapids.“This move is about serving our clients where it is convenient for them as our firm continues to grow in Eastern Iowa,” said attorney Brian Bergstrom, president of the firm. “As our region becomes increasingly connected, expanding our footprint to Coralville was the next logical step for us to serve our clients all around Eastern Iowa,” said Bergstrom. “This gives our clients the opportunity to have access to specialized teams of attorneys located in Cedar Rapids and Coralville/Iowa City depending on the client’s specific needs.” The firm also understands the importance of a strong commitment to the community they serve, as each Shuttleworth attorney is involved as a volunteer to one or more local organization that is important to them. This commitment extends to the practice of providing legal help to those in need with pro bono services through the Volunteer Lawyers Project. The Iowa State Bar Association listed 29 attorneys from Shuttleworth & Ingersoll as members of the Iowa Pro Bono Honor Roll, published in the October 2017 edition of The Iowa Lawyer Magazine. Four Shuttleworth attorneys exceeded the aspirational standard set by the Iowa State Bar of 50 or more pro bono hours in 2017.As one of the corridor’s longest continuously-operating businesses, Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is positioned to continue to provide value to their clients with specialized expertise—and most importantly—an unwavering commitment to the success of their clients.
