The Firm's Associate Committee coordinates its attorney recruitment efforts by focusing on hiring top students from law schools across the country who are interested in practicing in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor.
Each of the associates at the Firm is paired with two attorney mentors: a traditional mentor and a practice mentor. The mentors serve as a sounding board and resource for the associate and assists the associate with their professional and social integration and development into the Firm. In addition, their practice mentor assists the associate with training and professional growth in the specific practice area or areas the associate wishes to pursue as his or her specialty. In addition, the Firm offers a more formal training program with sessions ranging from substantive areas of the law and substantive legal issues to the development of various intangible skills necessary to become a successful attorney.
